Al-Shabab signed a contract with South Korean goalkeeper Kim Seung-gyu from Japan’s Kashiwa Reysol.
Last night, the club announced on its Twitter account: “Al-Shabab club management signed a professional contract with South Korean national team goalkeeper Kim Seung-gyu, nicknamed (Octopus), for a period of three years, buying his contract with the Japanese club Kashiwa Resol starting from the current summer period.
“We wish the octopus the best of luck on his next mission with the Sheik of Clubs.”
Al Shabaab are looking to capitalize on the 31-year-old South Korean veteran goalkeeper’s efforts in the AFC Champions League after the team qualified for the playoffs.
Kim has also played for Ulsan Hyundai in South Korea and Visel Kobe in Japan.
