The Yemeni parliament, at a meeting held in Aden, voted to approve the government’s program and give it credibility with a number of comments, including on military, security, economic and development issues.
At Thursday’s meeting, the council discussed the government’s program presented by Prime Minister Dr. Moen Abdul-Malik asking for the government’s credibility in light of the program, according to the official Yemeni news agency (Saba).
Parliament Speaker Sultan al-Barakani urged the president and members of the government to take seriously the implementation of their program and the comments received on it, and also demanded that consolidated reports be submitted to parliament at its upcoming sessions.
For his part, Prime Minister Main Abdul-Malik reaffirmed the government’s commitment to implementing all of its program and proposals from Parliament and said that the government is working under exceptional circumstances and is facing numerous problems and difficulties, and is making every effort to confront and solve these difficulties and challenges.
The Prime Minister also promised to provide the House of Representatives with a report, which he issues every three months, with a report explaining what the government has achieved and the difficulties it faces.
