Wildfires in Moscow have reportedly killed several people and in the Kurgan region of Siberia have killed at least six people and injured 14 others, the Russian TASS news agency reported, citing medical officials on Monday.
The fires destroyed more than 40 houses and several villages were evacuated.
The authorities of the Tyumen region of Siberia also reported that a 49-year-old man died while trying to put out a fire in his village.
Wildfires have also spread to the Sverdlovsk region in the Urals, covering more than 54,000 hectares, according to the latest report.
It is noteworthy that forest fires in Russia break out between the spring and autumn seasons and are exacerbated by climate change.
