The signing of assistant Michel van der Gag was Dutch manager Erik Ten Hag’s first request at Manchester United training, as the latter intends to bet on his compatriot at the technical staff to revive the Red Devils.
Van der Gag has been working with Ten Hag since last year as his training assistant for the Dutch team Ajax after a day of training when he stopped for health reasons.
Van der Aa, a former defender in the Arab region, is known for his very short experience in 2006 with Saudi side Al-Nasr, which he signed after the end of the World Cup in Germany, but the Dutch player only wore the yellow jersey for 180 minutes before to terminate the contract.
Van der Gag began his career in the late eighties at PSV Eindhoven in his country and the experience included two loan spells with Nick and Sparta Rotterdam before moving to Scottish Mother Well in the mid-nineties and then to Dutch Utrecht before spend 5 years with the Portuguese Maritimo at the beginning of the year Millennium to victory.
