Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic considered the imposition of sanctions immoral and senseless, so his country did not join the sanctions against Russia.
Vučić said: “I have to impose sanctions against Russia, I will get bonuses anywhere, I will become the best democrat, but it is immoral to impose sanctions, and besides, they do not work. Russia has always supported us on the issue of territorial integrity, do not forget 2015 and the British initiative, which provided for the declaration of the Serbs as a people guilty of genocide.
The President of Serbia has previously stressed that Serbia supports the territorial integrity of Ukraine, but will not impose sanctions against Russia.
He pointed out that Serbia considers Russia and Ukraine to be fraternal countries, regrets what is happening and is ready to provide humanitarian assistance to Kiev.
