UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed various aspects of bilateral relations between the two countries on Tuesday.
Emirates News Agency WAM reported that Emirates President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed various aspects of bilateral relations between the two countries with the Russian President in St. Petersburg during his visit to Russia today.
Noting that the level of these relations is growing rapidly, the parties expressed satisfaction with this continuous growth of cooperation relations between the two countries.
President Putin briefed UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the situation at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant and the efforts being made by the Russian side to ensure nuclear safety, while Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed UAE support – until the situation at the plant.
In this context, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan briefed the President of Russia on the position of the Ukrainian side on a number of issues.
During the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan touched on the possibility of continuing the dialogue between Russia and Ukraine, and President Vladimir Putin stressed that Russia is interested in continuing the Emirati mediation efforts.
