A US official denied the veracity of Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian’s claims that the United States sent a message to Iran that Washington was rushing to conclude a nuclear deal.
In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, a U.S. official said, without giving his name: “There is certainly no such report. Our only message we can send to Iran is: stop killing your people.”
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian announced that his country has received a new message from Washington regarding negotiations on the Iranian nuclear program, noting that Tehran evaluates the message in such a way that the American side puts the agreement at the top of its priorities.
“Americans are contradictory in their words and behavior, and three days ago we received a message from America and we said: the accusations of the International Atomic Energy Agency against us must be settled,” Abdollahyan told Iranian state television during his visit to Armenia. . He added: “Our assessment, according to the message we received from the American side, is that the agreement is not only one of their priorities, but that they are signing it very quickly,” adding: “We will not no concessions to the American side.”
