Russian Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya said that next April the UN Security Council will hold several important decisive meetings, when Russia will preside over the Council.
The Russian delegate indicated in an interview with journalists that these sessions will be devoted to discussing many topics, including multipolarity, the Middle East settlement and the problem of uncontrolled arms exports.
Vasily Nebenzya confirmed that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov would take part in some of these sessions.
The Russian delegate added: “Discussion about multipolarity in a growing world, open discussion about the Middle East, and before that, the issue of uncontrolled arms exports will be discussed – and this meeting will take place in early April before the arrival of the Russian minister.
When asked if Lavrov received an American visa to travel to New York, the Russian envoy said: “It is the responsibility of the United States, they should issue visas to the Russian delegation.”
