United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres today welcomed the announcement of an extension of the truce in Yemen for another two months.
UN Spokesman Stephane Dujarric explained during the daily press conference that reaching the first two-month truce, and now extending it for another two months, is a positive momentum and good news for the people of Yemen, stressing that UN Special Envoy for Yemen Hans Grundberg will continue his efforts to consolidate the gains we are already seeing.
Dujarric noted that this truce allows humanitarian workers to reach more people they would not be able to reach.
