UN extends mandate of its mission in Sudan for another year

The UN Security Council extended the mandate of the UN mission in Sudan for another year amid protests in the country against the head of the mission, who is working to resolve the political crisis caused by measures announced by the army last year. UN mission Integrated Transitional Assistance in Sudan “UNITAMS”, until June 3, 2023.
