In the first televised debate between candidates for British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, five contenders battle each other, defending their views in the quest for an important post.
Participants in the 90-minute debate focused on tax and political ethics.
The contestants launched an online campaign in which they prioritized and sought to defeat the Conservatives before they took part in the Sunday debate leading up to Monday’s Conservative MPs’ vote, after their number had likely dwindled to four.
Another vote and televised debate is scheduled for Tuesday before Conservative MPs choose the two finalists on Wednesday.
