The European Football Association (UEFA) announced on Monday the exclusion of Russian clubs from the Champions League for the 2022-2023 season, in addition to all its competitions, while maintaining sanctions against squads and teams due to the country’s invasion of neighboring Ukraine.
And the statement of the continental authorities said that “Russia will not have clubs participating in the competitions of clubs belonging to the European Football Association in the 2022-2023 season,” including the Champions League, the Europa League, the Europa League and others. The European Football Championship will be held in England in July next year, and it will be replaced by the Portuguese national team.
