The United Arab Emirates strongly condemned the burning of copies of the Holy Quran by some extremists in Sweden.
A statement from the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation reaffirmed the UAE’s continued rejection of all practices aimed at destabilizing security and stability and inconsistent with humanitarian and moral values and principles.
The Ministry renewed its ongoing call to reject hate speech and violence, the need to respect religious symbols and avoid hate speech by insulting religions and sacred places, and the need to spread the values of tolerance and coexistence.
