Preliminary results released by official Turkish television ahead of the parliamentary elections showed that after counting 21.9% of the vote, the ruling Justice and Development Party advanced 40.3% compared to 20% for the Republican People’s Party.
They are followed by the National Movement Party, allied to the ruling party, with 12.8%, followed by the Good Party with 9.2% and the People’s Democratic Party with 8.1%.
Under the new electoral law, these initial proportions mean that the Justice and Development Party will win 287 of the 600 seats in parliament, and the Republican People’s Party will win 151 seats.
According to the Anatolia Agency, the total number of ballot boxes for voting in the parliamentary elections in the country has reached 201,807 ballot boxes, and the percentage of ballot boxes that have been sorted so far is 29.57%, while the number of participating votes has reached 13,257,141 votes. , of which 12,995,572 votes were valid and the participation rate was 86.13%.
The High Electoral Commission will announce the final results of the ongoing elections in the country.
