Kazakhstan was awarded the first major title in men’s and women’s tennis after a match between the two players in the first major final of their careers.
“I wish I could come back here, but not quarrel with Elena,” Jaber, 27, said with a smile. Thank you all for your support during this tournament. I wish you a blessed Eid on Eid al-Adha.”
As for Rybakina, she said: “I was nervous and glad that the match was over. I’ve never experienced this feeling before. Thanks to the viewers for the great support. I wouldn’t have been able to get here without the help of my team.”
