The head of the Ennahda party, Rached Ghannouchi, appeared before an investigating judge in the Tunisian capital yesterday in a case accusing him of money laundering, days before the country’s popular referendum, which the party opposes.
Ghannouchi, surrounded by his supporters, arrived at the headquarters of the investigation and entered there to their applause.

Tunisian authorities announced earlier that the anti-terrorism judiciary ordered the freezing of the financial balances and bank accounts of ten people, including the head of the Nahda movement Rached Ghannouchi and former Prime Minister Hamadi Jebali.
