The latter three cancellations were made in May amid the WGA strike while the reboot comes shortly after SAG-Aftra joined the WGA on strike. The network has yet to announce renewal decisions for “The Rookie: Feds” and “Home Economics,” but announced a pilot order for “The Good Doctor” spinoff, “The Good Lawyer” starring Felicity Huffman and Kennedy McMann. ABC renewed “The Good Doctor” for Season 7 in April.
Executive Producers
Lee Daniels and Marc Velez of Lee Daniels Entertainment executive produced the series along with the show’s original star, Fred Savage. Saladin Patterson serves as writer and executive producer. The series is produced by 20th Television, a division of Disney Television Studios.
