The Sports Museum, currently located in Jeddah, has been documenting the history of sports for two months, taking its visitors on an inspiring journey through the history and heritage of sports around the world in conjunction with the World Cup in the state of Qatar.
The museum, which includes more than 250 original sports items and was created by a national company in collaboration with the municipality of Jeddah, tells the story of the pleasure of football, showcasing many things from players and tournaments, up to second-hand. sports equipment of all kinds, including: cups, balls, shoes, t-shirts, shin guards and gloves.
And during the tour of the “Spa” in the corners of the museum, which houses 16 soccer balls from 1910 to 1918 AD, and the museum, the beginnings of making a ball from animal skin, stuffing it with various materials and sewing by hand were considered , and the transformation in the production of materials for balls, which was issued in 1836 AD by the American Charles Goodyear. The museum displays more than 60 types of shoes from various stages of football, which were made of genuine leather and on the floor of wood and steel nails, passing through the shoes of the most famous players in the world, and the first types of gloves. worn by the Guards, as well as the shin guards of “crushers of wood and their modern stages of development”.
The museum displays more than 12 original cups from various tournaments, including the approved version of the 1970 AD World Cup held in Mexico and crowned by Brazil, the 2007 AD European Cup and FA Cup, and the 2010 Coppa Italia. AD, in addition to showing the jerseys and shoes of the most famous international players from different generations until 2022 AD. Finally, decorating the corridors of the museum with photographs depicting the experience of the most famous coaches in the world, whether at team or club level, in addition to the oldest and most famous stadiums in the world, in addition to the original jerseys of the two legends Pelé and Maradona.
