Today, the Saudi Arabian Football Association, represented by the Technical Committee, honored the outstanding national coaches of the national teams and sports clubs in the 2021-2022 sports season.
FA Secretary General Ibrahim Al Qasem honored outstanding coaches in the final season, including 73 coaches who achieved success with national teams and clubs, in the presence of a number of national coaches who contributed to painting the honorable history of Saudi football, led by captain Nasser Al – Johar.
Al Qasem appreciated the generous support of the wise leadership of the sports sector in general and the football sector in particular, which mainly contributed to the provision of the support programs necessary by the federation to raise and develop the level of the national coach, helping him to be a partner and participant in achieving the ambitions of Saudi football.
The Secretary General of the Federation thanked His Highness the Minister of Sport, President of the Saudi Arabian Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal for his continued interest and follow-up to the Federation’s various events, programs and competitions and for his work in exploiting the potential to advance all elements of football systems in the Kingdom.
Al-Qasim noted that one of the pillars of the Saudi football transformation strategy launched by the federation a few months ago is talent development, and one of the most important elements of this pillar is the national coach, noting that Saudi football has recently witnessed a number of achievements that have contributed to national coach, both at the level of the national team, which achieved a well-deserved qualification for the 2022 World Cup, and won the Asian Cup U-23 for the first time in the history of the Olympic team, both achievements with unprecedented results, highlighting that the Saudi Arabian Federation is always working on in order to provide every opportunity and energy to serve and support the national coach to continue to achieve.
Notably, this initiative comes from the Saudi Arabian Football Association in support of the national coach’s career in local competitions and national teams.
The Technical Committee has established 3 criteria for awarding, namely: achieving a championship with national teams or qualifying for a continental or international championship, achieving one of the current local or foreign championships and being promoted to a higher degree or qualifying for an external championship. championship.
