The Green Saudi Initiative Forum, which will take place on the 11th and 12th of this month on the sidelines of the COP27 conference in Sharm el-Sheikh, will discuss the progress made over the past year; This demonstrates the commitment and effective contribution of the Kingdom in the field of combating climate change to achieve the slogan “From ambition to action”, with the participation of Their Highnesses and Excellencies Ministers, many government ministers, opinion leaders and climate experts.
The forum focuses on the Kingdom’s clean technology transition and its multifaceted and interdisciplinary approach to carbon reduction, renewable energy and clean hydrogen production, and the Kingdom’s pioneering efforts to develop a circular carbon economy, afforestation and environmental protection in the Kingdom.
The Forum tracks the efforts required by all sections of society; To achieve a sustainable future for all, international cooperation in the field of climate change and the development of the green finance sector, the importance of the participation of the private sector and highlighting the importance of the role of youth in climate action; This embodies the Kingdom’s approach to revitalizing the role of all sections of society in improving living standards and protecting future generations.
The Green Saudi Initiative 2022 Forum will define the Kingdom’s plans to reach the goal of planting 450 million trees by 2030 in a sustainable and accurate manner to conserve the Kingdom’s unique biodiversity.
