Major General Igor Konashenkov, spokesman for the Russian Ministry of Defense, said that many Russian citizens under reservists received false notifications by phone to their conscripts.
The general told reporters on Saturday that Ukrainian intelligence was behind these phone calls.
According to that, son within a few days, several Russian citizens received dubious calls during an audio recording asking them to consult conscripts about their call for reserve service in the army.
The general emphasized that all these fake calls came from the territory of Ukraine and in no way correspond to the truth and were nothing but cheap provocations of the Ukrainian intelligence.
Konashenkov stressed that the Russian Ministry of Defense does not call anyone to conscription and does not plan to call any citizen who is prudent.
