The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia reaffirmed its firm position of supporting Sudan and its brotherly people in everything that ensures its security and stability, as well as the realization of its hopes for freedom, justice and peace.
This happened during a speech by the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom to the United Nations in Geneva, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Wassel, before the Human Rights Council in Geneva, where he welcomed the constructive dialogue between the Sudanese parties to restore all transitional institutions. Calling on the international community to make a positive contribution to laying the foundations for stability, peace and security in the Sudan and to support its efforts to implement the recommendations it adopted under the universal periodic review mechanism, which is the best way to address the human rights situation in brotherly Sudan.
The Kingdom Delegate stressed the importance of respecting Sudan’s sovereignty and independence of decision in order to achieve a comprehensive peace that would strengthen its national unity and nation.
