As part of the events and activities of the Season of the City-2022, the region will host the Cup of the Season of the City in falconry, the Museum of Falcons; Which starts on Thursday, November 17, until Saturday, November 19, next to the Sports City of Prince Abdulaziz bin Musaed.
The organization of the Hail Season Cup and the Falcon Museum is carried out in cooperation and partnership with the Ministry of Sports and the Saudi Falcon Club; With the aim of introducing the ancient heritage of falcons, creating ecological, economic and cultural concepts, encouraging falconers in the region and motivating them to continue to engage in heritage and preserve it from generation to generation.
The Hail Falconry Season Cup includes a 3-day falconry race with owner races and other professional races in 6 categories (Farh and Karnas). These are Khur, Shahin, Gir Pure, Garmusha Gir, Gir Shahin, Taba Gir.
The cup promotes falconry, raises awareness of the importance of its conservation, allows falconers in the Kingdom to indulge in their hobby, and allocates valuable prizes of 6 million rials to the winners. the club requires the maximum number of falcons in the competition for each owner to be two falcons per race, and 24 falcons per race, while professionals are allowed to register 3 falcons per race, and 36 falcons per race, and the total number of falcons participating in one set must not exceed 75 falcons and not less than seven falcons.
As for the Falcon Museum, it depicts the history of this bird in the Arabian Peninsula, identifying its types and breeds, the characteristics of falcons and their role in relationships with parents and grandparents until they became an ancient heritage.
The Hail Falcons Season Cup coincides with the start of the 2022 Hail season; Which will last until December 23 and includes the organization of various sports tournaments, as well as various cultural and historical events and events that are very popular; It is intended for visitors and tourists from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and beyond and is held in accordance with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal, Minister of Sports and President of the Hail Season. many very popular sporting events; This includes camel racing, as well as the launch of the entertainment and sports area in Al Magwa Park on November 24, which will include many quality activities that will attract all members of the family.
