The death toll from the Afghan earthquake that hit an area in eastern Afghanistan rose to more than 1,500 yesterday, with about 2,000 injured.
And the USGS indicated that the quake’s epicenter was recorded about 44 km southeast of the city of Khost, the capital of eastern Khost province, Afghanistan, and its magnitude was 6.1 on the Richter scale, destroying hundreds of homes and causing landslides in some areas.
