The death toll in Saturday’s truck crash in the Netherlands rose to seven on Wednesday after Jenin was listed as one of the victims.
Meanwhile, a Rotterdam court has extended the detention of the driver, a 46-year-old Spaniard suspected of causing an accident in the village of New Bayerland, south of Rotterdam, by another two weeks.
The driver was arrested Saturday night after his steering wheel buckled and the car went off a dam, crashing into revelers at a barbecue party.
Six people, including a pregnant woman, were killed and seven others were injured, the exact cause of the accident remains unclear.
According to preliminary data, the driver was not drunk. The driver also underwent a blood test, the results of which have not yet been announced.
