The Assassin Basim Chronicles: A Return to the Origins of Assassin’s Creed
The Assassin Basim Chronicles
With Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Ubisoft intends to return to the very sources of its flagship license. Thought as a kind of remake of the first opus, Assassin’s Creed Mirage aims above all to satisfy the fans of the first hour who had trouble digesting the Action-adventure-RPG turn taken by the license from from Assassin’s Creed Origins.
This time, therefore, Mirage wants to be closer to the original Assassin’s Creed experience, which is based on a formula combining action, infiltration and parkour. A mixture which has borne fruit more than once and which will therefore be revisited with this opus.
In Mirage, players will follow the fate of Basim, a brotherhood member introduced during the episode. Valhalla. Here, Basim’s youth, his first missions and his rise within the brotherhood will be exploited, all in the city of Baghdad which, once again, is reminiscent of the sets of games with Altaïr. A real return to basics therefore, which will still bet on the latest technological advances in video games. Proof of this is with this new partnership just announced by Ubisoft.
In the shoes of a master assassin
It was via the official Twitter account of the Assassin’s Creed license that Ubisoft announced the news. The French studio will offer players a collaboration with OWO, which designs haptic vests for gaming, a technology similar to that embedded in the DualSense controller of the PS5.

The two firms are therefore preparing a haptic vest in the colors of Assassin’s Creed Mirage. The idea is to literally slip into the skin of Basim with this vest which should transmit sensations to the players with each movement of the character. On its site, OWO also explains that even the blows received should be felt by the players. So you have been warned.
This vest comes with an OWO device, 20 gel pads, a charging cable, a storage pouch, and a code to retrieve the game digitally on the platform of your choice. Of course, all of this should have a price. If the cost of this pack has not yet been shared, you should know that the “Founder Edition” of OWO’s haptic vest is offered at a price of 499 euros. It would therefore be necessary to bet on a similar price, if not higher, for this pack.
A substantial sum, therefore, for a more than intriguing accessory that unfortunately not all players can afford. Finally, the last important information, this pack does not yet have a release date. We obviously hope that it will be available as soon as the game is published on October 12th. To stay informed, you can now subscribe to the dedicated newsletter on the OWO website.
