On the sidelines of the eighth summit of the heads of parliaments of the G20 countries, the delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, headed by the speaker of the Shura Council, took part in the parliamentary forum held as part of the summit in the capital Jakarta.
The forum was opened by Puan Maharani, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia, in the presence of a number of officials of the Republic of Indonesia and delegations participating in the eighth G20 Summit of Heads of Parliaments. countries.
During the opening of the forum, the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia emphasized the importance of comprehensive cooperation among the parliaments of all countries of the world to build a better future, achieve recovery from the coronavirus pandemic and strengthen the efforts of the parliaments of the G20 countries to expand communication and cooperation between the countries of the group and cooperation between them.
The forum discussed many topics, including the role of parliaments, as well as a number of topics related to the environment and its conservation, carbon emissions and the use of renewable energy sources.
