“Enrichment (in uranium)…continues with a maximum ceiling of 60%, which caused Westerners to rush into negotiations, and this will continue with lifting of penalties of 20% and 5%”, head of The Iranian Atomic Energy Organization, Mohammad Eslami, was quoted by the semi-official news the Fars agency as it says.
The 2015 agreement limits the purity to which Iran can enrich uranium to 3.67%, far below the 90% or so that is military grade or the 20% that Iran achieved before the deal. Iran is now getting richer various levels, the highest being about 60%.
After 10 months of talks in Vienna, progress has been made towards restoration of the pact to curb Tehran’s nuclear program in to exchange for sanctions relief, but Tehran and Washington have warned that there are still significant differences to overcome.
