Observers considered that the Saudi Arabian Football Association’s Disciplinary and Ethics Committee’s decisions regarding the misdeeds of Talal Al Sheikh Youth Club Football Executive were out of proportion to the extent of the abuse.
Everyone emphasized that the disciplinary action of a fine of 80,000 riyals to Al-Sheikh, with his right to appeal, is a very light sentence.
And they felt that Talal Al-Sheikh insulted the Football Association and the Professional League when he said after his team’s match with Al-Ittihad, saying “If there is a trend towards the league title… teach us.”
He also accused the judiciary committee of using offensive language, saying, “Shame on the arbitration for the existence of such judges and shame on the judiciary committee for employing them.”
