In pursuance of what the Kingdom announced at the height of the month of Rabi al-Awwal 1444 AH, during a telephone conversation between His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and His Excellency President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, grant Ukraine an additional $400 million humanitarian aid package. Foreign Minister His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah and Director of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak attended the signing ceremony today. agreements and memorandum of understanding between the Kingdom and Ukraine in the amount of up to 400 million US dollars.
The agreement includes a $100 million joint humanitarian aid cooperation program from the Kingdom of Ukraine. The agreement was signed by Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabia, Advisor to the Royal Court and King Salman Inspector General for Humanitarian Affairs. Assistance and Assistance Center, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine for Reconstruction, Minister for the Development of Communities and Regions of Ukraine Oleksandr Kupaku.
The MoU also includes $300 million in oil derivatives financing as a grant from the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the Saudi Development Fund to Ukraine.
The signing of the agreement and memorandum of understanding reflects the desire of the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to support Ukraine and its friendly people in addressing the social and economic challenges facing the country and to contribute to mitigating the humanitarian impact.
