His Excellency noted that global studies show that the space of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation hosts about a quarter of the world’s young population, and that by 2050 OIC countries are predicted to include more than a third of the world’s youth. to the United Nations Global Population Projections, pointing out that these realistic facts and statistics can provide opportunities for the Muslim world if the potential of young people is used properly and participate in the development of policies and programs for the development of youth and sports, and in the implementation of these strategies and programmes.
He called for specific initiatives and actions to revitalize the Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s sports development strategy in Member States and the organization’s youth strategy by launching development programs for youth in all Member States, as well as for Member States and relevant institutions. step up its role in these programs and initiatives.
He noted the great attention paid by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to issues related to youth and the sports movement in the member states of the organization in particular, as well as the generous care it gives to the organization and the ongoing support for its various activities and programs in order to strengthen Islamic solidarity and enhance the role of assigned to the organization.
