His Excellency Organization of Islamic Cooperation Secretary General Hussein Ibrahim Taha met yesterday with senior Turkish economic officials to learn about the heavy losses caused by the earthquake and its aftershocks, as well as the destruction suffered by eleven cities in southern and central Turkey. Secretary General introduced during a meeting with HE Minister of Finance and Finance Nur ad-Din Nabatai in his office in the Turkish capital Ankara, expressed his condolences to the Turkish government for the victims of the devastating earthquake. He also reviewed the results of his trip to the affected areas, to the city of Gaziantep, and that he witnessed the destruction of infrastructure in these areas and its impact on the economic and social conditions of its inhabitants, again the solidarity of the Islamic world supports the Republic of Turkey, emphasizing that the states- members support Turkey.
In turn, the Turkish minister expressed gratitude and gratitude to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation for its initiative to visit the Republic of Turkey and solidarity with the areas affected by the earthquake, and also got acquainted with the material damage caused by the disaster.
In this context, the Secretary General met with His Excellency the Head of the Turkish Strategy and Budget Office, Ibrahim Chanel, where the two sides discussed common issues, especially areas of cooperation between the organization and Ankara in the post-earthquake areas, and the urgent needs needed for crisis containment operations.
