Young Saudi Arabia international Khaled Al Ghamdi (17) caught the attention of the European Open in Germany by reaching the round of 16 after beating third world champion Oliverssolnocki 9-7 from Hungary.
Al-Ghamdi achieved an outstanding achievement when he managed to surpass the American player Skyler Woods, one of the most important international players in this game and the best player in the last two editions of the Mosconi Cup.
Al-Ghamdi’s win was spectacular as he reversed his 2/6 gap to a landslide 9/7 win. In the same scenario, he was able to reach the round of 16 as he was late by 5/8 to come back and win on 9/8.
