The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s bid for the 2030 World Expo in Riyadh has received widespread global support, and the State of Palestine has reaffirmed its support for the file. This international support is a testament to Saudi Arabia’s commitment to hosting a successful and impactful event.
Prince Faisal Bin Farhan Bin Abdullah Thanks the State of Palestine
Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia, expressed the kingdom’s thanks and appreciation for the State of Palestine’s decision to support Riyadh’s candidacy file for the 2030 World Expo. This support was reaffirmed by the State of Palestine during the second ministerial meeting between Arab League Member States and Pacific Small Island Developing States hosted by Saudi Arabia.
Strengthening Fraternal Relations between Saudi Arabia and Palestine
Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah also congratulated his Palestinian counterpart on Palestine’s accession to the Bureau International des Expositions, the body that oversees the organization of world exhibitions. At the meeting, ways to strengthen fraternal relations between the two countries and two fraternal peoples were considered.
The Importance of International Exhibitions
The events of the global event take place over months, during which the countries of the world compete to showcase their innovations and industrial, commercial, intellectual, and cultural products. International exhibitions have been held since 1851 and are the largest global platform for establishing partnerships between different countries of the world, demonstrating the latest achievements and technologies, and glorifying the cultural values that unite humanity.
