The Organizing Committee of the Saudi Arabian Show Jumping Championships has announced the second show jumping tournament with international classification for two categories of 4 and 5 stars, organized by the Equestrian Event Company, affiliated to the Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation. at the headquarters of Saudi Jumping in Janadiya from 8 to 10 December of the following month and from 15 to 17 of the same month.
The championship will be set to 24 rounds over two weeks, while this edition will start the first week with 12 rounds. There will be four rounds on the first day, starting with two rounds for the one star category. with hurdle heights of 115 cm and 125 cm. On the same day there will be a four-star round with hurdle heights of 140 cm and 150 cm.
The competition will continue on the second day for the One Star and Four Star categories, during which you will witness the excitement and enthusiasm of the World Cup Jumping Qualifiers, and the Four Star Competition will conclude on December 10th with two rounds for the One Star category with hurdles of 120 cm and 130 cm, in addition to two rounds of Four Stars, in which the hurdles are 145 cm high, and the main prize will be a 150 cm hurdle, through which the four-star competition of the tournament will end in its first week.
The championship continues into the second week with 12 rounds, of which six rounds will be held for the one star category and six rounds for five star competitions starting on December 15, where one star rounds have been added. provide an opportunity for young riders from the Kingdom to discover their talents and gain experience to participate in international tournaments.
The five-star category will also include the 155cm qualifier for the Show Jumping World Cup, with the championship ending on December 17 with the 160cm Grand Prix.
The first championship, which was a significant success, was attended by 121 elite male and female riders in the Kingdom and abroad, and the number of participating horses reached 158 horses.
The championships of the same edition were attended by the most outstanding international riders, in which the Swedish knight Peder Frederikson, ranked ninth in the ranking of the International Equestrian Federation last year, and the German knight Daniel Deusser were crowned in the final round. 12th in the international rankings, competed at the end of 2021, in addition to Australian rider Edwina Alexander.
