Saudi Airlines has launched direct flights between Jeddah and Barcelona in partnership with the Air Connectivity Program, whose goals will be combined by supporting the tourism sector in the Kingdom and expanding the network of international destinations around the world. Flights to Barcelona are scheduled to be converted to scheduled flights from August 30, with Saudi Airlines operating two flights per week. Issam Akhunbai, Vice President of Marketing and Product Management at Saudi Airlines, explained that the collaboration with the National Air Link Program supports Saudi Airlines’ efforts to bring the world to the Kingdom, which is one of the strategic goals that it strives to achieve, as direct flights to and from Barcelona throughout the year will boost tourism, trade and business in both directions.
For his part, Sultan Otifi, vice president of strategy and communications for the air services program, indicated that the new direct flight route will boost tourism from Spain, as it will provide a more convenient option for travel from Barcelona. and that the partnership will pave the way for additional growth in air transport in the future, which will naturally support the growth and prosperity of the Saudi air transport and tourism sector.
