Yesterday, the Center for Humanitarian Aid and Assistance to King Salman launched a project to support and finance orphans and expand the economic opportunities of their families in the cities of Bamako, Coliko, Segou, Gao and Sikasso in the Republic of Mali, in the presence of the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Mali Said Al-Qahtani, Representative of the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs and Regional Director of Social Affairs Ms. Maimouna Diarra, Commissioner Mayor of the sixth district of the capital Bamako, Alexei Diarra, President of the Tassagh Organization, Executive Partner Abdulaziz Ag Al-Wali, Director of the King Salman Relief Center in Africa, Youssef bin Bakhit Rahma and a number of officials, helping and supporting them financially, paying for their education, providing sewing training for 195 widows, distributing sewing machines to them after the course, and providing employment opportunities for female graduates to achieve self-sufficiency.
The project also distributes and delivers 560 sheep to 112 families, five sheep per family, to strengthen families economically and provide them with income-generating projects to support the community and improve living standards. Maimouna Diarra said such projects help support widows and orphans and provide them with basic assistance.
Alexei Diarra, Delegated Mayor of the Sixth District of the capital of Bamako, expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Highness the Crown Prince – God bless them – for their continued support of their brothers in the Republic of Mali, wishing them further progress and prosperity Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
This assistance is part of the aid and humanitarian efforts provided by the Kingdom through the Centre, aimed at improving the living conditions of various groups of society in the affected countries and improving their economic situation.
