An investigation into alleged bullying by the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle of members of the royal family has led to improved internal procedures, but its details will remain confidential, a senior Buckingham Palace source said.
According to the same source, no details were released regarding the changes taking place in the royal team to protect the privacy of those involved in the independent investigation.
In March 2021, The Times exposed accusations of bullying Prince Harry’s wife while she was living at Kensington Palace before the duo stepped down from their royal duties, while Buckingham Palace deemed the allegations “very disturbing”.
The palace stated that “staff involved in the alleged bullying, including those who have stopped working for the royal family, will be invited to participate in the investigation to see if any lessons will be learned”, stressing that it “does not tolerate and will not tolerate any bullying recorded in the workplace.”
The Times reported that Jason Nov, a former contact for Harry and Meghan, filed a lawsuit in October 2018 over bullying of aides to the royal family.
Meghan, for her part, has denied the allegations.
The Sunday Times recently touched on domestic reforms, which a source said on Thursday, and spoke about the frustration of those involved in the investigation over the “burial” of its details and the non-publicization of its findings.
