Republican Ron DeSantis began his campaign for the US presidential election in Iowa, presenting himself as the best alternative to Donald Trump in 2024. The 44-year-old governor of this midwestern state said: “Being a leader is not about entertaining. .. but to achieve results.”
And the Republican called for the country to be led by an “energetic” person who could rule for “two terms” without naming Trump, for fear of offending the voters of the seventy-year-old ex-president.

He is a member of the Republican Party and is currently the Governor of Florida.
He graduated from Yale University in 2001 with a degree in history.
He was a member of the Florida State House of Representatives from 2013 to 2018. In 2019, he took over as Governor of Florida after defeating Democratic candidate and Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum in the state election.
