The Saudi Reserve League kicked off Thursday with a single match in which Al-Fateh beat Al-Thai 4-1, with 7 clubs participating in the league: Al-Shabab, Al-Ittifaq, Abha , “Al-Fateh”, “Al-Fayha”. , Al-Tai and Al-Wahda.
The competition is played under a full home-and-away league system, provided that its matches are synonymous with professional league matches for participating teams with a total of 42 matches per season, with each club allowed to register 20 players to the match list in accordance with several requirements presented in a player registered in the first team list. Players registered in the club list at the lowest level are also eligible to play in reserve league matches.
Clubs participating in the league will receive financial support of two million rials in addition to league prizes of 2,825,000 rials, as well as an increase in the number of players registered on the first team roster from 30 to 35 players.
