Qatar has announced a suspension of entry into the country for all visitors from November 1, except for World Cup fans or Haya card holders, with visitor visas to be renewed on December 23.

And the Ministry of Interior of Qatar has announced procedures and controls for entering and exiting Qatar during the Qatar 2022 World Cup through the country’s air, land and sea ports.
This came during a press conference hosted by the ministry today, which was attended by Brigadier General Abdullah Khalifa Al Muftah, Director of Public Affairs at the Ministry of the Interior and Head of the Media Department of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar Safety and Security Committee, and Colonel Jasem Al Sayed, Executive Director of the Tournament Security Operations Commander, delivered a speech.
Brigadier General Al-Muftah said that it was decided to suspend the entry of all visitors to the country’s ports from 11/01/2022, provided that from 12/23/2022 the validity of visitor visas will be renewed again, while excluding “Qatari citizens, residents and citizens of Persian Gulf countries with personal cards. in the country to ensure easy and safe entry and exit from the country’s ports during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
And indicated that the entry for Haya cardholders to the State of Qatar will be from 11/01/2022 to 12/23/2022, and they are allowed to stay in the country until 01/23/2023. , pointing out that the Ministry of the Interior calls on all persons to comply with and not violate the laws and decisions issued in this regard, in order to ensure the success of the state’s efforts to organize this upcoming football event.
In response to journalists’ questions, it was emphasized that services provided to citizens and residents were not affected by these procedures, as they excluded holders of visas for personal employment, such as (domestic workers and drivers) and holders of work visas, since they can enter country and complete their procedures.
With regard to humanitarian cases excluded from entry and exit procedures during the tournament, it was clarified that an electronic platform will be launched in this regard, including controls and specific humanitarian cases such as; Deaths, patients and other humanitarian cases.
With regard to the procedures that the Haya cardholder entails if they do not leave the country after the date of January 23, 2023, it has been confirmed that there are legal procedures provided by law that will be applied in the event of a violation.
Regarding the possibility of multiple entry and exit in and out of the country for holders of the Haya card, it was emphasized that this card has multiple entries into Qatar, and provides its holder with a number of benefits that were previously announced.
