According to them, several Qadisha Electricity Company employees stormed an FNB bank in Tripoli, Lebanon, to protest the bank’s decision to withhold 3% of employees’ salaries and benefits.
At a time when all transactions within the bank ceased, a negotiation process began between the management of the bank and the delegation of the trade union of workers “Kadisha”.
The staff announced that the bank “still has not handed over their salaries and wants to deduct 3 percent and other contributions from them, equivalent to 500,000 Lebanese pounds”, and stressed that they “will not allow this and will remain in the bank until his administration will not back down from its unfair decision.” The Depositors Association also announced that Qadisha Electricity employees in Tripoli are storming the First National Bank. The company’s workers’ union is working with branch management to calm the situation.
