President Vladimir Putin has said that Russia’s aim is to protect people who have been subjected to abuse and genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years.
Addressing the citizens of Russia on television today, Russian President Putin emphasized that Russia will strive to disarm and prevent nationalism in Ukraine, and will also bring to justice those who committed many bloody crimes against civilians, including citizens of the Russian Federation.
Putin stressed that Russia has no plans to invade Ukraine.
“At the same time, the occupation of Ukrainian territory is not in our plans,” he said, “We will not force anything on anyone.”
