The PS5 Sees a Strong Sales Surge in the UK

According to the latest GfK data, the PS5 has experienced a 42% increase in sales during August 2023 in the UK, solidifying its popularity.

Sony has made significant efforts to promote the console throughout the summer by offering temporary price reductions and various bundles. As a result, the PS5 has seen an impressive year-on-year sales rise of 60%. In total, 135,000 game consoles were sold last month in the UK, marking an 8% increase compared to the same period last year.

The best-selling accessories for the month were PS5 pads, with the DualSense White, Black, Cosmic Red, and Starlight Blue models leading the pack. In terms of software, the top-selling games for August 2023 were FIFA 23, Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, Grand Theft Auto 5, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Red Dead Redemption.
