His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, yesterday received at the emirate’s headquarters the National Director of Saudi Special Olympics Abdul Rahman Al Qurayshi, members of the Special Olympics Unified Football team for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities for age groups of 16-21 years old, technical and administrative staff and players.
His Highness commended the wise leadership’s great interest in people with disabilities and provided all the care and concern they need to support and empower them, wishing the Saudi Arabia team success in Special Olympics unified football in their next participation.
His Highness told the players: “You represent the nation and carry its flag, embroidered in the name of His Majesty, in international forums, and this is a great responsibility that requires every effort and the best performance, crowned with sports ethics, as is customary among the sons of the people.”
