The Portuguese press reported on Thursday that Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo, a Manchester United player, turned down a fictitious offer to join the Saudi Arabian league.
Portuguese newspaper Rekord reported in an exclusive news story that Ronaldo had turned down a €270 million offer to join the Saudi league.
The paper called the offer “from another world” as the English club’s stake in the deal was €30m.
As for Ronaldo, according to the proposal, he was to receive an annual salary of 125 million euros on a two-year contract.
The newspaper has confirmed that this deal is out of Cristiano Ronaldo’s accounts during the current summer transfer period.
And press reports have pointed to Ronaldo’s desire to leave Manuel’s ranks as he seeks a move to another Champions League side next season.
Other reports justified Ronaldo’s desire to leave due to his dissatisfaction with the performance of Manchester United’s management in the summer transfer market.
