It was initially discovered by the Twitter user @Knoebelbroet. Still, the PlayStation could be getting High on Life in a very short time soon.
The PlayStation Update
The update was discovered on orbispatches.com, which monitors new releases for the PlayStation 4, just one day after it was made available to users. The latest update provides a limited amount of information regarding the possible debut date of the game on the platform. However, the update states that it was for “General bug fixes and improvements,” which may indicate that the game is almost ready to be released in the near future.
Controversial Reception
On December 13, 2022, High on Life was released on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and the personal computer. The game has received various responses from critics, with some publications awarding it scores in the sevens and eights. In contrast, others have given it poor ratings. It is one of the titles that has been released in recent times that has caused the most controversy. A Metascore of 67 has been assigned to the High on Life on Metacritic. On the other hand, the ratings provided by users are far more positive, averaging 7.8.
About High on Life
High on Life is a first-person shooter developed by Justin Roiland, who also contributed to the creation of Rick and Morty. In this game, players are tasked with eliminating various targets by employing a variety of living weapons. These guns not only communicate with the player, but they also respond to the user’s actions while they are playing the game.
The video game was the Xbox Game Pass title that was played the most during the week that it was released, and it was the fourth most played title on the Xbox platform as a whole. Aaron Greenberg, Vice President of Marketing for Xbox, referred to the game as a “breakout hit.”
Expansion Announcement
In June of 2023, it was revealed that there would be a paid expansion called High on Knife. Cusack, Alec Robbins, Sarah Sherman, and Gabourey Sidibe will all contribute to the project.
