In a press statement, he stressed that the Israeli occupation police’s conversion of the Al-Aqsa Mosque into a military barracks and the attack on worshipers is undermining the historical and legal situation in the Al-Aqsa Mosque. to ensure the protection of extremist settlers.
He added: “What happened and is happening in the Al-Aqsa Mosque, including the attempt to divide the time and space of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, is a serious violation and even a blow to the historical and legal position in the Al-Aqsa Mosque. which the occupying government falsely claims not to violate.”
And he added: “The Al-Aqsa Mosque is for Muslims only, and attacking worshipers with beatings and metal bullets and forcing dozens of people to evacuate from the mosque, combined with preventing worshipers from entering the mosque and attacking the pulpit of Salah ad-Din, is an attack on holiness.” mosques and the provocation of the religious feelings of Muslims around the world.”
“We condemn in the strongest terms these egregious violations of the historical and legal status quo at the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque under the pretext of providing protection to extremists who make no secret of their dangerous and malicious goals against the Al-Aqsa Mosque,” the statement said. Al-Hedmi stressed that there is an urgent need for the international community, including the United States of America, to take immediate action to pressure the occupying government to stop the serious violations of the historic status quo at the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
