More than 40,000 fans from all over the world witnessed the official opening of the FIFA Fan Fest at Al Bidda Park in Doha, which is open to the public during the 2022™ FIFA World Cup in Qatar, the first FIFA World Cup in the Arab countries. world and the Middle East.
The opening of the festival took place the day before the start of the World Cup, and the audience enjoyed DJ music and fireworks, as well as the song “Toko Taka”, the official anthem of the World Cup in Qatar, featuring Lebanese star Miriam Fares and international star Maluma.
The festival hosts football fans throughout the days of the tournament, for 29 days, until the end of the competition on December 18, and includes a wide range of activities and events, including live broadcast of all matches of the tournament on huge open-air screens, with a charming view of the the tower district in West Bay, and concerts by some of the world’s most famous artists, as well as a large number of food and drink outlets offering a wide selection of local and international cuisine.
Hassan Al Thawady, Secretary General of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, explained that the FIFA Fan Fest embodies the unique benefits of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, noting that it is an all-inclusive destination that allows the public to enjoy an outstanding experience at throughout the World Cup.
Al-Thawady described the festival as a forum that World Cup fans flock to as thousands of football fans from all over the world gather to have a great time and celebrate their passion for football in a great atmosphere, with many cultural and entertainment shows and activities and stunning views of the Doha Corniche.
The festival invites fans on November 20 from 16:00 to 02:00 the next day, from November 21 to 29 from 11:00 to 2:00 and from November 30 to December 18 from 16:00 to 2:00.
The FIFA Fan Fest is located near three Doha Metro stations, West Bay Qatar Energy on the Red Line, Al Bida’a on the Red and Green Lines, and Corniche Station on the Red Line (fan exits only). station to the festival site).
