NEOM has announced the organization of the 2022 Beach Games from October 19 to December 9, 2022 AD as part of a major international sporting event that brings together over 25 countries and brings together top sporting events and a group of professional athletes. Compete in five sports including kite surfing and 3×3 basketball, beach soccer, mountain biking and triathlon, a marathon race where speed is important in sports such as swimming, cycling and running.
On this occasion, NEOM CEO Engineer Nazmi Al Nasr explained that NEOM’s organization of this unique global sporting event in the region is in line with the 2030 vision for global sporting events and achieves NEOM’s goals of becoming a regional and global hub sporting events and meeting place for athletes from all over the world.
Al-Nasr expressed his joy at organizing the NEOM 2022 Beach Games, which will bring together senior athletes from Saudi Arabia and other countries in a unique and unique place in the Kingdom and in the world, where geographical diversity, natural beauty and mild climate will contribute to providing ideal conditions for the success and distinction of the event.
It is noteworthy that the tournament starts with the World Windsurfing Championship, which will last the first five days from October 19 to 23, and on October 29 the Olympic triathlon competitions will be held. In November, the tournament will host an international 3×3 basketball tournament, followed by a beach soccer tournament in which 12 teams from around the world will compete over 5 days. The tournament will culminate on December 9th with a desert mountain bike race that will run from December 6th to 9th and will feature 220 men and women from around the world in a three-stage event, each stage 80 to 120 meters long. kilometers.
